Flooding reported in some coastal portions of Massachusetts, New Hampshire
A late-season nor’easter brought heavy rain, high winds, and coastal flooding to New England on Thursday, causing extensive road closures around some popular beach areas.
In Salisbury, part of Beach Road was flooded about 7:30 a.m. as the ocean reached high tide, and traffic was diverted to Old Country Road. “Please do not drive through standing water,” police asked residents in a social media post.
