RI to conserve 900 acres through purchase of Boy Scout property
The acquisition is the largest for the state’s Department of Environmental Management in a decade, and the property is one of the last large undeveloped parcels in Rhode Island.
DEM officials called the conservation of a property of that size “a rare opportunity” and said the site will be available for public recreational use, including hunting and fishing.
