COLUMBIA, S.C. (WBTV) - A South Carolina state lawmaker is hoping to make teaching cursive mandatory in elementary schools.
Rep. Michael Rivers, a Democrat who represents parts of Beaufort and Colleton counties, prefiled the bill on Dec. 12.
